"Your combined efforts and support on this course allowed the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center to learn new techniques and hone existing skills. You exceeded all expectations as a survival instructor… and earned the respect of the Marines."

Course Overview

We’ve combined forces with Byron Rogers of Protector Nation to form this unique and highly empowering event. Byron is a high level executive protection specialist who has performed his trade in over 30 countries, a Marine Corps Combat Veteran, and the founder of a renowned executive protection training center.

Ask yourself, are you truly prepared for the worst? Can you “bugout” quickly and effectively, and do you have a place to go? Can you defend your family? Are you confident in your weapon handling and tactical skills? Can you handle medical emergencies when help is nowhere to be found?

Spend three intensive training days building life-saving skillsets. Become your family’s first responder.

*Train in off-road and convoy driving skills. We spend the first half of day one overlanding on a remote 4wd road. Bring your 4wd vehicle or arrange a ride-along through us.

*Learn to form a wilderness camp. We will build survival shelters, make a hygiene plan, and discuss assigning roles when in a group. All on a private 200 acre forest camp at 7000’ in the Southern California mountains.

*Train in small unit tactics. Learn to shoot and move as a team, to suprise hostile forces, and survive hostile contact. You will train with under actual combat veterans. There will be force-on-force drills, and we provide quality airsoft rifles and protective gear to train on.

*Off-grid communications course. Learn the essentials of programming HAM radios, and forming a camp communications system independent of the cell phone grid. Radios are provided.

*Wilderness Survival. Learn to make a fire in any weather, locate and purify water (there is a running creek on the property), form emergency signals, and more.

*Wilderness & Remote Area First Aid. Learn to perform a trauma exam, splint broken limbs in the field, stop bleeding, and clean and bandage wounds, and more, all with wilderness/remote area concerns adressed.

*Game processing. We will process and cook a goat as part of the event. You’ll leave ready to process any big game you harvest in the wild.

*Bugout bags & gear. Learn to assemble a proper evacuation bag and select quaility equipment.

What To Bring

*A water bottle.

*A pocketknife or fixed blade- We recommend the Victorinox Trekker, any Leatherman with a saw feature, or a Mora Knife for new users.

*A Day Pack (small backpack)

*A sleeping mat and sleeping bag appropriate for the time of year

*Appropriate clothing and footwear for the time of year (rain gear required fall-spring)

*A headlamp or flashlight

*Foodstuffs- We recommend Mountain House or similar backpacker meals for main courses. Small backpacker stoves like the "Pocket Rocket" or "Jetboil", or even a Coleman stove, will prepare these- and your morning coffee- very well. Granola, protein bars, jerky, etc., are all great options. You will have access to your vehicle in the evening so a small cooler is ok. There is also a campfire to cook on.

*Feel free to bring any favorite survival gear you wish to train with!

*If you do not have a 4wd vehicle, please let us know after registering. We’ll arrange a ride along with another participant or instructor. The road does not require “lifted” vehicles, but you do want some clearance.

*Safety glasses for the airsoft portion. We provide face protection.
